Thursday, April 2nd- Field Day (grades 1-5 )

On Thursday, April 2nd, we’ll take “High School Destination” pictures for the HNES Yearbook.  Our students will be grouped according to their high school destination, and we will take a group picture.  Students are encouraged to wear high school T-shirts or dress in the colors of their future school.

Our traditional “Eighth Grade Portrait” will be taken on the steps outside the middle school doors on Wednesday, April 8th at 2:00pm.  Mrs. Ferren will be taking this portrait, and copies will be made available to 8th grade families at no cost.

The dress code for the portrait is “church dressy.”  Boys wear a collared shirt with pants or shorts.  Girls may wear dresses if they like-no spaghetti straps or strapless without an accompanying jacket or sweater, please.  Sleeveless dresses or shirts should have a strap width of at least 3 finger widths.  

Students typically bring the outfit they want to wear in the portrait and change into it just before the portrait is taken.

"Purple Up" for military kids! Beta Club will hand out purple stickers for Purple Up Day! Students will wear their regular Wednesday uniform.

Thursday, April 16th BHS Guidance Department meets with BHS-Bound 8th Graders 8:30am Rm. 117

Grandfriends Day is a 1/2 Day of school. 

Please note: there will be No Golden Corral Lunches ordered this day- and Base closes early at 4:30pm. Any and All students that need to stay in Base MUST HAVE a packed lunch.

Mother & Son Kickball Info/Registration LINK

Join us for the Mother-Son Kickball Tournament at Sudduth Park on Sunday, April 19th, from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm.

Registration fee is $30.00 per mother/son pair and $10.00 for each additional child. (Registration includes two slices of pizza per person.) Concession Stand open for purchases.

Photo opportunities and other fun activities for the kids available. Registration deadline is Thursday, April 9th.

Middle School Spanish Elective Field Trip. Students will be going to a restaurant to order in Spanish and enjoy a meal. They will head out at the beginning of middle school lunch (12:40pm).
